It's fun when customer's ask for something that's outside of what you're known for and get in the habit of building. For David and I who mostly do kitchen knives and small, practical skinners/hunters, a request for a fighting bowie was just it. Love to hear what you all think. Wrought iron guard, OCS blade at 60 HRC (differentially tempered), our stabilized spalted pecan. The sheath's by a local guy who does a lot of our sheathwork- Bud Siniard of Upland Leather. Thanks for looking!

Thats a cool lookin blade. Fit and finish is very good and that blade shape is well hard to explain, I can see the kitchen influence mixed with fighter. Nice design.

nice lines! i like that spalting!

Thanks! We lucked into this wood (cut some trees for firewood and presto!) and then cut a LOT of handles out and had them stabilized. Not sure why more people aren't using spalted pecan, such an iconic species but very few people deal with it from what I've seen from my searches online.

I don't really care for Bowie knives...most of them look pretty clubby to me.....but that is absolutely amazing! The knife is beautiful, the sheath is beautiful and even the darn pictures and choice of background is beautiful. Nice job! Bet the customer fell over when he saw that.
