Well looks like I just scored one of these. But I'm not finding much info on them, has anyone here used there's in the woods? I understand the design, but it looks like it might be a good skinner too. Just looking for some first hand reviews on these, maybe some pics outdoors.

I've read that, but it's not really a review in my opinion, just a discussion on the design. I'm wanting to see an actual outdoor review or something.

I didnt come across any reviews, but you should make one after some use.

I will when I get mine, but I am surprised I haven't seen any!

Mine was a catch and release so I can't give a review. I will say it was definitely a lot more knife than I was expecting. I didn't know where it would fit into my current needs so I let it go.

Mine makes Sheaths really well :)

Is kinda strange, I've done crap with mine, hacked some stupid trees, pryed like a crazy persob and bent the tip, all in all l, I love it, nice and thin behind edge while still being abuse-able, stabby/slicey tip, fairly comfy handles, balanced, it's a slicing machine for Busse kin imho.

Only gripes are choil and weight. 12oz and choiless, would be perfect. Though neither is deal breaker in my eyes, love the BT6.

What are these weighing in at? And if it's nice and thin, it will get plenty of use! Were you able to bend the tip back, and how easy was it to actually bend? It seems like a rather big blade, does anyone have a pic next to a Gemini for comparison? David I may email you about a sheath this payday?

Heres a few comparison pics, i had 3 or 4 BT6s, ended up letting them go (bad timing) one of the best handles for XL hands imho

Looks like it's a stout knife next to the Gemini, which in my opinion is a little to big to carry on my belt for very long. At around 16 ounces, might be a bit heavy on some longer hikes, but not to bad when I'm on my horse!

I've always wanted an hg-55 because of the blade shape, but could never find one in my price range. Managed to snag on e of these, which is quite a bit bigger. But I'm sure I'll be happy.

If you like HG55 id try to get an Urban Grudge BG or LE, from all the reports it sounds like HG55 only with a better handle lol

I love the knife as well. As most said it is a bit heavy but a great multi-task blade. I’m not sure why so many were sold by owners on the exchange. It’s a unique design (military overrun) and was only offered here on the exchange (via e-mail) or appeared in a grab bag. They were not available for order on the Busse site and so I have to assume they are fairly rare and they are one of the cheaper priced INFI steel blades. Can’t see how you go wrong here when many are going for $350 or less.

I haven't been into busses to much, only a few designs I really like. I do like the steel, for its durability and ease of sharpening, I just went a different route, but this team 6 and yes that urban grudge really caught my eye. I would like both. I did trade a sar-4 for this team 6 and have since sold a few more busses. The Gemini is one I'll never let go, and maybe I'll find an urban one day.

I know i let few BT6s go on the Exchange, but definitely not because i didn't like it, i guess life is cruel sometimes lol hopefully gona pick up one or 2 some day soon.

Tip is a little thin compared to my other Busses but is has great slicey geometry. I stripped it and picked up an excellent sheath from Mr. Brown. I put mine to work in the kitchen but I think it is going to make a great camp knife this summer. The only thing I don't like about it is the square choil, but other than that it's a great blade and a pretty damn good deal.

well I went crazy with the Busse Team 6 lol, I got several but I am embarrassed to say I have not even used any of them once. I even intended on stripping the ivory handled one but have yet to get to that either. Life get in the way so easily when it comes to project it seems.

I got mine yesterday. I am a little surprised by the size, it's different than I thought. I like it, but I would change a couple things if I could, it really does not need a choil, and bring the handles down a size, they're a little to big for my likes. Other than that, this is the best cutting busse I have seen. The tip is a little to thin too. It chops well, and bites into wood really good. I did reprofile the v edge just a bit.
