Bowie

i can`t beleive no one else has an opinion on this . where are the regulars , Robbie roberson , Wildmanh , New pig hunter?

newpighunter here .... been outta town for several days, no access to e-mail ....

HMMM, now there's a question for the ages, "What is the best ??"

If I can only name one, it will be the Tigershark, because.....
-- it's the biggest and therefore capable of handling any task. It might possibly be too large to do delicate brain surgery, but it's large enough to chop trees and such.

Runner-up # 1: the SEAL 2000. It will do everything the Tigershark can do, except the trees can't be as big.

Runner-up # 2: the original SOG Bowie (S1 model). It will do everything the SEAL 2000 can do, but it's not a tree-chopper.

I have all three of the above and have used them extensively.

Cheers,

Carl

What about the new "Super Bowie"? IIRC you have one of those too?

I still like the S1 for its simplicity and versatility.

yessir, I do have a Super Bowie but it hasn't yet had the field time and abuse heaped upon the 3 mentioned.....
-- gotta get more field time on the Super Bowie, which means I gotta spend more time in the field. Maybe I can retire, that would help !!

yep^squared, the S1 is certainly one of the coolest, even when customized !!

Cheers,

Carl

For me it has to be that original SOG Bowie. But I'm sentimental...and no longer young! Just went and looked at it after reading this Thread...:)

oldphysics,

young ?? I'm gonna retire in 7 calendar days .... "young" is what I'll finally become when I get out of where I'm at ......

and you're right: the original S1 is way cool .....

and as one lad says: "especially" when customized !!!!!! no argument there.....

Cheers,

Carl

I'm the youngest of the bunch I guess. :p

The S1 or Super Bowie would get my vote, specially a modified S1. ;) Hey, when do I get my turn with it????

Carl, can you still afford all the cool SOG's, guns and steaks after you retire?

Heber

money's no object when you're retired and living on a fixed income !!

anyway, that's what my stockbroker says.....

Cheers,

Carl

p.s. I'll retire on a Friday and live off my savings. What I'll do on Saturday, I have no idea.
