Bowie knive's, I just love 'um..
What are you folks lugging around..
wide or narrow blade's? an so forth..G.

I could just kick myself for getting rid of my Cold Steel Bush Ranger in AUS-8A. I'll probably be picking up a SK-5 steel Trail Master in the future. First I have to find someone who can take of the black coated finish.

Closest thing I have is a recently bought 1979 Camillus Pilot's knife, 5" carbon steel blade that seems like it could cut its way out of a safe. Becoming my favorite sheath knife of all time.

I've a Cold Steel Laredo Carbon V that i resharpened and wow wee it is so so sio sharp shaves hairs jus sliding it down your arm. I was so so so proud. The I've a big carbon steel Sheffield Bowie with stag handles which has a very wide 2 inch and 10.5 inch long balde and despite being heavier than the laredo I nearlyu prefer it if I had to chose a Bowie to fight with. Takes a wicked edge to on it :D.

You can.
Paint remover followed by sandpaper and elbow grease.
Follow the sanding tutorial on beknives website.
It worked for me :D

While we're talking bowies, here's the flagship of my collection ;)

Here's a Hell's Belle Bill Bagwell recently made for a SEAL. Since he was going in harm's way, Bill sent it up to me to make a Southern Comfort for it. Knife and both sheaths are now with the SEAL headed wherever.

This one doesn't get carried but it is one of my favorites.
