Seeing everyone posting with their new Canoe patterns I finally succumbed and bought one to see what the fuss is all about. This is my first of this pattern and I can see why so many like them. It has a good sized main blade yet is still small enough in overall size to easily be a front pocket knife. It is pleasing in the hand and the geometry of the scales and bolsters is pleasing to the eye, rather than focusing on one part of the knife you see it more as a whole. This one, no surprise here, is a Bulldog from 2006 in Peachskin celluloid. The pics don't do the color justice, it really is a striking hue. I can see where there might be more canoes in my future.

Good lookin canoe there Absintheur!
Thanks for posting it. I too am a fan of this pattern...it just disappears in your pocket.:)

I have a Boker and a couple of Queens

The Boker is much thinner and lighter, with an almost paddle shape main spear blade.

The Queen is much heavier as the main spear is full width of the spring, and the pen half width.
The Queen is a solid work knife...

I will have to jump on the flotilla soon. I do not have a canoe canoe as of yet.

I have been a canoe fan for years.

I currently have two large Cases; a pocket worn red bone and a Ruger G-10 (I like red).

I've had various other brands but the Case examples seem slimmer; as knowtracks said, they just disappear in the pocket.

I really need to start posting photos...

I have 4 Canoes and love them all. 2 Case and 2 Queen. No. Wait a minute. I have 5. 3 Case and 2 Queen. Yeah that is right.

Welcome to the club. Let us know as you add these great knives to your collection.

This Bulldog canoe is pretty thin. Shown here with a Case peanut you can see it is about the same th9ickness as the Case. I measure it at about 5/16th of an inch.

OK, I am in. I bought a Robeson Canoe from Mike at Collector Knives with red scales. It is your fault for posting this thread! I am sure it will arrive early next week, Mike ships quick.

The Queen with the acorn shield has some amazing color to the scales. Looks like it was burnt then dyed.
