Do you mean box elder burl? Or the Australian tropical burls sold under a lot of names ,like yellow box burl, grey box burl, bimble box burl, and sometimes just box burl?
Several of the Australian importers sell the tropical stuff here in the US, but I don't know about UK suppliers.Try this chap:

For top grade stabilized box elder burl ( one of my favorites) you can get it from a lot of handle scale suppliers ,( TKS, Sheffield, Jantz, K&G, etc.), as well as from WSSI ( theirs is spectacular).http://www.stabilizedwood.com/
