Here's one I finished recently.

The blade is W2 with hamon, 7 7/8" long and 1/4" thick at the ricasso. The handle is Box Elder burl, nicely contoured. Guard and pin are 416 stainless. The OAL is 13 1/8", and it weighs 276g.

The sheath is made from 8oz veg tanned leather, lined with pig skin. The pig skin seems to do a great job at protecting the blade finish, and holds the blade securely without too much friction, I really like it.

Critique welcome.

Really tidy piece, Will. Hamon looks great! Keep it up:thumbup:

Will,

You continue to set a high standard for clean precise work. The handle is gorgeous.

Awesome Will. That wood is killer, not to mention the stunning hamon.

I really dig it !
From the oh so pointy tip to the nice work on the classy handle and guard.
Very clean looking.

Will, like Doug said. I love everything about this one, nice blade shape with awesome hamon.

Great knife Will, loving the belly and continuous curve you've got going on these fighters. Keep up the good work.

A bit of snake skin on that sheath would have sold it for me as a complete package. I like the no nonsense sheath but something else would really set it off to me.

Clean and classy - that is REALLY very well done. Love the wood choice.

Thanks Phil. I agree about the sheath; it doesn't really look like it's part of the package.

Thanks Roger. I was a bit unsure about using such a light coloured wood, but I'm glad I did!
