We recently completed the first leg of the JK Box O Goodies pass around. The Box travelled far and wide, crossing the country on its journey of several months. Each participant chose some goodies, added some goodies and sent the Box on its way to the next person in line. If you didn't participate, it was really fun and here's your chance to join in the fun that is the Box O Goodies while also helping Hanna in her battle against cancer.

Up for auction is a Box O Goodies. You will receive a small, flat rate USPS box filled with items representative of the Box O Goodies. Like the Box, you will not know what is in there until it arrives and you eagerly unpack the surprises within.

The box could contain......

Knives, fixed or folding
Books
Paracord items
Survival Gear
Fishing gear
Collectables
Gold Coins
Fine Jewels

Well, just so you don't get too excited, there aren't any gold coins or jewels in there but there will be some cool stuff!

This will work the same as the other auctions, money will be sent to John and I will ship your Box once complete.

The auction will end next Monday, 3/25, at Noon (CST). Bidding starts at $20.

I'll go $40 on this...

And........WA Martin is our high bidder at $75!!!

Thanks for your bids guys! PM John to workout payment details and we will get a Box O Goodies heading your way.

Unique Transaction ID # 707528213U5430356

Money sent to John. He has my address.

I'm probably going to be offline until Friday (vacation). I may or may not see any emails or notices until then.

Wade will be receiving selections from the box. There will also be some items available for sale at the Gathering with the proceeds going to Hanna. A few items will be added to the V.2 Box O Goodies as well.

I picked a few things to keep and I gifted a small Schrade lockback to one of the young engineers at my company who did not have a pocketknife. He has one now and has carried it ever since. He's even asked me a few general knife questions and may have caught a bit of knifeaholism. Such is the positive power of the JK Box O Goodies!

That's interesting as last night I gave my brother a GEC Tom's Choice barlow with the clip blade and ruby red bone. My niece mumbled something I didn't catch and my brother told her maybe she should ask me about that. She piped up and said she would like a lime green pocket knife. So after dinner I laid out all my pocket knives that I had with me and showed her several different styles and types from one of the GEC Barlow's to a Case Eisenhower to a Buck 110 and asked if any appealed to her by size or blade shape or whatever. I think she's looking for something along the lines of the Eisenhower. My search begins!

I'm probably going to get her a Victorinox Day Packer or Floral knife in green. She's 14 or 15 and wants a knife to open the packages she gets now that she's old enough to order stuff from the catalogs. I may also look into getting her a Classic SAK or maybe even having one built for her if the guy I'm thinking of has lime green scales. Her mother also wants a "red" knife but she's one of those people that can only handle knives with adult supervision (ie: Honey, let me cut that for you...). Need to find out where people get the "safety" SAK's for kids and see if they make a red one. Or maybe see if Pampered Chef makes a red nylon knife.

But while all this was going on my Dad took my niece into a back room and she is know the proud owner of one of his small pocket knives. I also got three knives from him too so the visit is off to a great start.

Just got back from vacation Friday night and there were three package notices in the box. Too late for window service and no Saturday window service. I'll bet it's there Monday afternoon when I check the mail.

I didn't get a chance to stop at the PO yet but will drop it off later today. I was really backed up on my "to do" list packing for the Gathering.
