Box O Woods

Electropenciled "Wood MK.1-Venice, Calif." and #550 on flat scale
Loveless bolt pivot pin

Stainless blade
Stainless liners with soldered Beryllium Copper (I think) back spacer
The liners and rivets do not attract a magnet but the latch pin does

I'm guessing this knife to be mid 60s vintage before his patent application in 1968

Next up is my personal favorite of the MK1 pattern Barry Wood knives that I own
Sterile, with no markings
Scales are a dark dense fine grained wood
Scales are screwed on and the pivot is a cutlers rivet
Finished to much higher degree than is typically found, especially for an early knife
This knife is tight, right and smooth and excellent example of a Wood knife

It also has a unique feature I don't recall seeing on another Barry Wood knife, the blade stop fitted to the tang
Typically pins hidden in the bolsters are the stops

MK 10 (?) with cast handles, ATS34 mirror polished blade, double triangle logo
There were a number of knives made with these handles with an assortment of blade shapes

This is a later knife after Barry Wood went into partnership with Mike Irie in the 90s and moved to Colorado
The general quality of the knives greatly improved after this move

This one was made by Mike. His initials are on it.
