Boxes o’ knives round #47

5B093CB0-451E-44A3-AF07-A723EF383AD4.jpegOk, so here goes. I’ve divided the knives into 3 groups. One group will be selected as the box that hopefully keeps moving forward. The other 2 groups are what I would call the cleansing boxes, designed to trim this thing down a bit as it’ll soon be as big as a foot locker I once had in the Marines if it’s not whittled down a bit. I did take one more thing out. A buddy has an old cap and ball revolver and was looking for a holster so I gave him that one. Being an older leather holster it should look good.

Here‘s the fun part, nobody will know what will be in the box they are getting. Depending on your tastes, all recpients should be pleased. Since you don’t know what you’re getting, it’ll be like a true Christmas present🎄.

I’ll add those names from the last GAW to this post, if you’re not on it and want to jump in just say so.

So you’re splitting the contents and sending a box to three different people on the list… but thinking only one of the boxes will be moving forward from there?

That’s what I figured. Obviously folks can do what they like with the knives but if the recipient of the main box would be kind enough to keep it moving, maybe it can stay a bit more manageable.

Excellent idea. I think someone said the box was at 17 pounds, not too long ago?

I think I'm going to stay out.
I see a lot of teensy tiny knives in the picture I'd never carry.
With my "luck" (note quotes) those would be in the box I won, along with a note saying "Congratulations! Keep them all!" or words to that effect.

If I won the send it on box, I wouldn't be able to send it out until January 02, 2022 which is way NOT timely. (presuming I could get a staff member to go to the postal, get a flat rate box, take it back to postal after I filled it, in the first place.)

Also, I'd rather not take a chance I would be able to get a member of staff to help me send it on.
We're still under the Covid's lockdown. With that new edition that recently came out, I don't see the Governor Little lifting his assisted living lockdown in the foreseeable future, residents vaccinated or not. ☹️
Why take a chance on getting one of the staff to get what I need at the postal, and sending it out, since I can't do it myself?

315 315 - Can you please remove me from the list for this round? I honestly have more knives than I know what to do with right now, and really want to evaluate my current collection before I add more to it! Good luck to the rest of you!

No problem, but if you change your mind I am pretty sure all the boxes would have something that suits your tastes.

Will do, hopefully you’ll come back in down the road.

I don't doubt that.
I just don't want to not be the one not to send it on timely, or much, much worse, be the second one who couldn't send it on at all.

If the Governor ever lifts his 22 months and counting lockdown (be 24 months February next) I might put my name in the hat again. 😊

afishhunter afishhunter  that's one long house-arrest especially since you're all vax. Good luck and keep your spirits up, a box o'knives might be just the thing though.

That‘s a long time for sure! Hopefully your sentence gets commuted sooner than later:confused:
