Anyone know of a good source for small 2 piece boxes for pocket knives?
I mostly try to buy ANIB but there always the nice ones you find without a box.
How do you store loose pocket knives and folders?

those white foam slips that Buck uses work real nice and dont scratch.

It's an "IMAX Libby 10 drawer chest" on the Big river site.
I bought it a year ago for under $300. It seems to be unavailable currently. But maybe another vendor has one.
I typed it into a search engine and it shows up at various sellers.
I actually saw it on another site some time ago for more money.
I looked for months for something like that before I settled on that one.

An old apothecary cabinet would be nice, but finding one, and then seeing the price......

Thanks for the response Mike. Ok for something already in a box but they need to be half as wide. Would be hard to label. I've seen them on ebay but thought the prices were unreasonable.

The foam pouchs are cheap on Uline $33 for 500, shipping is $18 so around 10 to 11 cents per slip, 2" x 5" size.

I make my own foam sleeves using foam packing sheet that comes in a roll (cheap at Walmart), and "borrowing" the wife's Foodsaver vacuum sealer, set on "seal" (no vacuum) to heat weld the edges together to form the sleeve. Don't have a Foodsaver? Check out Goodwill or other thrift stores, there's usually one there on the cheap.

I end up making these for storing a variety of things.

I purchase 4 different sizes of white cardboard top closing boxes. They generally will hold the knife and original box if needed. The new magnetic closing boxes won't fit in the boxes so not too sure yet how i am going to handle those. I write on the end of the box what is in them than store them on metal shelf racks or in a blueprint cabinet i have.

caquino caquino I have a poly bag sealer somewhere. Never thought about using it on foam.
Can't imagine how much sheet foam I've recycled. Thanks for the idea.
Still need boxes I can label.
