With Christmas fast approaching, and I suspect a time for increased knife indulgence, how important is it to keep the original box { packaging } the knife came in.

SAFE QUEEN KEEP BOX

USER BIN BOX

I thank you now for your replies HAVE FUN FARON....

I like to keep my knives in a drawer, on top of their respective boxes. Some people like to have boxes for documentation. Others actually store knives in their original boxes. So yes, IMO, you should hold on to the original packaging, unless it was some lame clamshell type deal.

Its a good idea to try to keep all of the boxes, if you ever needed to sell them it looks better if you have the original box, IMO

I used to keep all the boxes, but after a while I just started running out of space and decided to recycle them all one day. They were just collecting dust. I really don't miss them, so now whenever I get a new knife, the box goes straight in the recycling bin. Life is just easier with less clutter!

boxes definitely increase value if you decide to sell. however most of my knives are bought with use in mind.i'm not a smart business person so i lose money on liquidations, but i sure have fun with my knives.
