In 1985, the Boy Scouts issued a knife with the Camillus Brand (CAMILLUS/NEW YORK/ U.S.A.)

The knife had a typical round B.S.A. shield of the time.

The main blade was etched: 75th ANNIVERSARY/ BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA/1910-1985.

It came in a blue paper box marked YORK and POWERHOUSE + COMMEMORATIVE KNIFE/75th ANNIVERSARY/BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA/1910-1985.

So here's the question. A great guy who is assembling a Boy Scouts of America knife site is informed the knife in question came in stainless and carbon. He has been sent pictures that show one of these knives with pretty serious patina.

What says the circle? Was there a carbon steel version?

[While we're at it, does anyone know the Camillus model number? (BSA apparently gave it no BSA model number.)]
