Last weekend a friend of my wife went to an estate sale and sent me a picture of the knives they had available for sale. I saw a small folding boys scout knife and decided to send her money to purchase it for me.
It was in rough shape, active rust and signs of some hard use. I’ve oiled it, cleaned it with a oiled Q tips and touched up the outside areas with never dull. Put a fresh edge on it but by and large am leaving the patina on the blades.
Would anyone know what materials were used in it’s construction, I know it’s part of a second run making it maybe around 38ish years old.
I appreciate the knowledge base, I am a veteran and enjoy sharing our country’s blade heritage.
The picture of the knife can be found here. Thank you for any help you can provide.
