Boy Scout knife

I have a Buck Boy Scout knife I would like information on (when made, how many, possible collector's value). It is a red model 412. On the handle it is marked "Scoutlite". On the side of the blade is Boyscouts emblem and "Official Knife Boy Scouts of America". Tang stamp is "Buck 412 USA". Thank you.

I recently sold a new one, in the box, for $78. My guess on a mint 412 would be $40 without the box, etc.

Thanks for the info, Vern. A fellow where I work is a Boy Scout leader and wants the knife. I would like to get it into his hands, but didn't have any idea of what to charge. I can certainly live with $40 for it since it's going to someone who appreciates it.
