I've been streaming the old "Justified" show. Boyd once lent his knife to a guy in a mine so he wouldn't shoot and make a spark should he bump into a snake. In another scene (different episode) he gets chained down after a fuse is lit (trying to get Sam Elliots safe from the pizza joint) and tries to reach and cut the fuse with his pocketknife.

They barely show it, I argue it's a Case Slimline Trapper, but I'm a novice compared to the experts in this forum.

That was a great series, though.

Based on the long bottom bolster, it appears to be some brand of "toothpick".

First pic, from the first episode you referenced. Boyd holds the knife tip-up showing the long bottom bolster-

In this pic, same scene, he's holding the knife tip-down showing the top bolster, back-side handle scale and spine. Clearly a lapse in continuity-

And here is the best pic possible from the second scene you referenced-

I recently finished the new "Justified" series, and now I'm rewatching the original. Good show IMHO. I agree with the toothpick diagnosis.

I'm right there with you, watched the new one, now working throughthe OG.. It's so funny to see him play a serious role after Vice Principals and The Righteous Gemstones.

I hadn't noticed the blade, cool observation.
