  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Boye Blades

Yes you can get dendritc blanks and unfinished blades and they will need to be heat treated also. Boye will do the heat treating, or do the heat treatment as with regular 440c. Cryg. does not help dendritc steel so it is not needed.I have ground the blanks and made knives and used boye blades and they are great. BDS is an awsome edge holding steel. When I cut leather to make a sheath I use a boye pocket knife because it stays sharp.Good luck, your little fat buddy in Texas Chris. www.toptexknives.com

Sheffield's Knifemakers Supply has them.
They also list 440-c cast Dendritic steel in stock form in sizes
1/8"x1-1/4"x10"
3/16"x1-1/4"x10"
1/4"x1-1/4"x10"
They don't say that the stock is from Boye but who else make it. They do say the blanks are from him.
