Boye Cobalt Basic 3?

I have one. I don't use it as much as my other cobalt alloy blades. The blade stock is a little thick and it makes it not a great slices. For a thick blade, it does have good blade geometry, great grind and fine tip. I use my Stellite 6K blades more, mostly because they are better slicers. I do like it because my other Cobalt alloy blades have scales, I really like that this one does not, great for messy work. Not a bad knife at all, great for a fishing knife, that is what I use mine for mostly.

I had a Basic 3 in Dendritic Steel that I picked up at a flea market. I flipped it because I am not much of a fixed blade guy. I do have several BDC folders which I use a lot especially in the kitchen. I modified the blades from leaf to clip.View attachment 707602
