Sorry if you thought I would be on a boat cutting rope. I spent the day helping a friend move into a new house. I cut up lots of cardboard boxes and kept them out of the landfill. The Boye did great.

Boye makes great knives and I think they deserve more attention. Here's mine:

I've had it about 6 years and it's been submerged in salt water many times with never any hint of corrosion.

Boye knives are GREAT and will cut all day even when they dont feel sharp!

I have a few more days to wait for my Cobalt Boye knive. The knife is not actually made by Boye but by others using his pattern and blade material.

I had one of his Prophet Companions when he still made 440C knives by investment casting. Excellent cutter. I wish I hadn't worn it out.

Well, I think I will be ordering one of these before summers end. Always wanted to try one. I saw a pair (yellow handle and black handle) go up on the exchange for the same price as a pair of NIB Enduras. That was a score if I do say so myself.

Whats he using for blades now? Cast cobalt based alloy of some type?

When I asked him whether he used Stellite 6B or 6K for Cobalt Crystal (BDC) blades, he said he didn't remember. We file tested a few blades and concluded it was 6B (Talonite). His Steel Crystal (BDS) blades are cast 440C stainless steel.
