Took my boy out into the woods today for his first shoot of a bb gun.

Cleared a little patch out near a fallen tree so he could use it as a bench.

He took to it right away.

The cheese after his first shot.

He insisted on trying to stand up and shoot. Not to bad actually. A real natural. :D

Well that's all I could get in. It was cold out and he couldn't handle it anymore. Thanks for looking!

That is beyond awesome. Treasure it. Thanks for posting that.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. He loved it. Can't wait till it warms up. Think this will be OUR thing. Already looking at some new airguns.

I remember the first shot I let my nephew take of a BB gun. Me and my brother were both so proud of him for wanting to keep shooting. Great relief to us that he enjoyed it as much as he did.

Good cheek weld in the last pic. Assuming he is a lefty. Might be a little young, but if you can determine his eye dominance you may be able to make shooting easier.

I am righty, but left eye dominant - I shoot right handed, and have no issues with long guns or shotguns, but wish I had started shooting a bow and pistols lefty when young.

Great pics, brother, way to get them on the right path early. Spending time with my daughters, shooting BB guns and playing with knives are my favorite way to spend a day, or a week even. Its grand, and only gets grander.

Thanks for sharing this with us, its truly a wonder.

Thanks all. It's nice to see him interested in things that I like. As far as lefty... just in these pics. He was shooting righty too. He does that a lot. He'll write with his right hand then switch to the left like it was nothing. Maybe it's because of his age(4). I dunno. :D It's been how many hours since the shoot and all he keeps talking about is the bb gun. LOL

It is so cool to see pics like this! I can't wait til I can take my little guy out to shoot my old bb gun in the woods.

Very cool--thanks!

uh oh, finger on the trigger ;)

they make some collapsible stocks that should make for good fitment there.

awesome :)

Awesome pics. I'll never forget my first pellet rifle that my father bought me, nor the feeling of triumph when I brought the first rabbits I killed with it home. That was a meal I will never forget.
