Boy's knife pattern

I recently picked up, via an auction, a knife described as a "boy's knife" (I've seen this same knife on the auction site given this name twice now). It's a single spear-bladed, 3 inch knife with an I.K. Co tang stamp. I don't know much about the pattern (or even if there is a clear pattern there), but it has really captured my imagination, so I'd love to see and hear more about the boy's knives in your collections!
