hey all, so a few days back my little brother snapped his boyscout issued knife in two, and I want to get him a replacement, specifically kershaw.
any recommendations? something light, thin, not aggressive looking, and preferable under 3 inches, thanks

Kershaw hawk or wild turkey for non tactical one handed opening knife. Having been in the scouts myself I remember being on hand opening the coolest thing the the world.

wild turkey or a double cross would be a nice option, two handed folder, more of the older style for him to learn on. Any of these "tactical" folders are a bit much for a child imo.

I agree. A Grant County or a Half Ton would make a nice replacement for the old Scout knife.

edit...The Double Cross is a clad / Damascus-style blade. The Double Duty (4390) is a little less expensive and has a secondary spey blade instead of a Wharncliffe. The ability to open a non-pointy blade when needed may be a benefit...
