I have a Benchmade Vex (Chinese made Red-Line, discontinued). Tanto blade, sort of gun-metal grey in color. Specs say that the 8cr14mov blade is BP Titanium coated. I would take a photo but I'm on the road right now and my (non smart phone) mobile phone sucks at pictures.
I tried looking on the internet to see just what BP Titanium coating is...no luck. Anyone know?
BTW, for $28.00, this is an awsome knife! Hair shaving sharp right out of the box. The closest thing that I own that I can compare it to is a ZT 0700. Is it as nice as the ZT? No it is not. However, it only cost $28.00!!
If anyone is looking for an inexpensive yet very nice (G-10 scales) edc, this could be the one.
I just can't figure out what this BP Titanium, gun-metal (not black) grey coating is.
Thanks
