I was asked to post a picture of the two knives together so here they are.

It makes me wonder if the CPM154 Alpha was made for BPS as a companion piece to their CPM154 110?

The stock number on the Alpha's box is 0271RWSBP2-B so does the BP stand for Bass Pro? I don't have the box for my 110, so I can't check that one to see if it has BP in it's number. Does anyone have one in the box that they could look at the number?

Great picture, Dave, two of my favorites! I have all of my boxes in storage too, but I am fairly certain they both had 'BP' in their numbers.

It seems a paradox that Buck is a Christian oriented company but seem to advocate divorce.....because if they dont stop putting up "must have" knives like that Dorado, that's where my marraige will be headed:o:eek::p

Maybe its just me, but I never remember a flurry of selection and great price like this.

Hi Dave,

Yes.....the BP is what was on the boxs from the BP knives. I also saw the same BP in the model number from one of the 110 bones that have been currently showing up on the bay.

Thank you Dave!!!!!

I wonder when Buck made that Dorado for BP? I must've missed it! LOL

I will have to be sure to get one when I get back from deer camp!

Thanks again for the pics! They are beautiful knives!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to know the story on them also. They don't show up on their web site right now. Mine has a born on date of 01/11/2010 on the box, but there's no date stamp or even a model number on the blade.

Great looking knife, they must have built it especially for the web special judging by the born on date.

Mine showed up today. I'd been wanting a Dorado for a long time, and I'm really glad I pulled the trigger on this CPM154 model. Fits my hand like it was made for it, rides in my pocket good, and has a cool little sheath for belt wear. I didn't realize how small the Dorado was, it's a really cool size. I'd advise anyone looking for something a little different to check out the web special Alpha Dorado, it's quite the knife.

Interesting observation Dave . 'Handsome one', I've always liked the Durado as well . When it first came out I purchased one for my wife . Which she really liked . That was the only year they were offered with ATS-34 steel . DM

I have the BP 110 in CPM154,it's a great knife!Glad I got mine when I did,about 1 1/2 years ago.

I got this Alpha Dorado cpm 154 from a Bass Pro shop....

Some of you Buck guru's clued me in on what cpm 154 was and what "bos" meant. :D

Plumb- It says 271 and the sideways "T" , no date stamp.

Thanks ono. The sideways T is the date stamp. It should be from 2006 then. In 2005 they used a sideways T (the other direction) but only for the imports I believe.

Dave, I think your right as the US made had your favorite ID. stamp . Did anybody know Dave's collecting these ! DM ;)

Just as a follow up on the BP Alpha Dorado and the Web Special AD. The Web Special is identical to the Bass Pro model except there is no model No. or date on the Web Special. As well, the Web Special version is completely laser engraved, whereas the BP store version is die stamped.

In any event, I am very pleased with my Web Special Alpha Dorado, as it came perfectly centered and the full width of the locking liner is on the first third of the tang. I couldn't ask for better.

LOL,if it ever slides that direction for sure hide those knives!I don't think I'll ever get Mrs Bob-it outta my head, heck of a way to wake up.
