Hey all,
Was looking at the Bradford Guardian 3 as an EDC fixedblade. I like it because of its smaller size, premium steel, and simple looking design. Are there any other similar knives in the same price range that are competitive with the Guardian 3?
Thanks.

The Tops mini scandi is pretty decent but not as much handle length.

The Iszula 2 is a great choice and is a reason it's favored by a lot of people.

But, there will not be any other sub 3 inch fixed blades that I will like more than the Guardian 3 in cpm3v.

Unless you get a custom. Specifically I would really enjoy a Fiddleback Forge Hiking Buddy

These are my Guardian 3's...in M390 and CPM-3V. The one on the right is his new flipper, the "G3F," based on the Guardian 3 design. I just received this one in the last few days...it is an excellent folder in M390.
I wear one of these fixed blades daily, without fail. I still carry a folder, but seldom use it any more. Using his horizontal cross-draw belt sheath, the fixed blade remains hidden and transparent (under an open t-shirt here in Florida) until I need a sharp edge.

Bark River has some offerings. I've had a few from various companies but the G3 is the one I am keeping. Lots of threads on this subject. Use the search function.

There's a lot of production stuff in that realm, but for a different take, you might consider looking at the custom makers for sale area here. There's been a lot of really nice stuff lately over there that falls into the range you're looking at. Some offerings there are one of a kind, and much more bang for your buck depending on the maker.

I just got a Guardian 6 in 3V. It is a fantastic blade! I ordered straight from Brad's website. Got a full flat grind version which has great edge geometry, fine tip, and is tough. Good HT on the 3V. Also got the new grips which are very nice. Spent an hour chopping away on dry and live bamboo, as well as dry/aged hardwoods. Lots of chopping, and was still able to cut paper. Only took a few minutes to get it back to shaving sharp. Great blade!
