I seldom come across any reviews or opinions of the Bradford Guardian 6 (or 5 for that matter) online, while the 3 and 4 come up in nearly every fixed blade edc thread I see. Obviously the smaller of the line are more popular because they are easier to integrate into a carry role, especially amongst our increasingly delicate populous. While the big brothers may be slightly more cumbersome to carry, I just want to throw out there how impressed I have been with my G6. I am lucky enough to live in SC, which has some of the most relaxed knife laws in the nation. I find myself reaching for my G6 more and more. The kydex sheath from Brad is the highest quality kydex of any sheath I own, I added a Spyderco G-Clip to it and really have no complaints about how it carries and retains the blade. The G6 is a robust blade to say the least. I sometimes find myself wanting a more slicey knife.....and I don't pick this one when I am in that mood. Although the blade on mine is evenly ground and comes to a hair popping edge, it is decisively intended to stand up to utility tasks; not slicing tomatoes (although it will). Overall the G6 has become one of my favorite knives, just wanted to suggest the G5 and G6 to anyone looking for a tough medium length fixed blade you can depend on that still cuts like a good knife should.

Interested. I have a G4 in M390 that has proven to be my favorite all around outdoor fixed blade. 3D scales are a must IMO.

Looks like the current G6 is in 3V. With the micarta 3D scales from Brad, the price is very reasonable IMO.

Do you have a saber or full height ground blade?

Have considered picking up something larger from Bradford, but I'm wondering about using a "chopper" without a more traditional finger guard.

My G6 is saber ground. I have never added a lanyard to it but I would imagine with one it would be a decent chopper for a 6 inch blade. Definitely agree on the 3D scales, they are outstanding.

The G6 is high on my list for a fixed blade carry knife. Thanks for the post. How bout some pictures? Which one you got?

Thanks for the reply, and agreed. Have heard good things about Bradford kydex as well.

No problem man! For some reason BF is saying my file is too large to upload but I have one with black and green 3D micarta and the nimbus finish. It's awesome!

Just snagged a Guardian 3.5 3D, FFG with kydex from Brad at OKCA show. Hoping he adds wharnie and sheepsfoot profiles to this line as I absolutely love the handle to blade ratio!

I handled a 5 at his booth. Nice knife, but I have 5 large fixed blades I rarely use...

Counterargument: Virginia knife laws
Double Counterargument: Texas sword laws...
Great review! I don't see a lot of love towards Brad's larger creations online. I was going to ask which steel you had it in, but it seems that there's only one steel choice lol

I would really like to see one of his larger blades with a similar handle style to the 3.5. I think it would be awesome. Thinking about picking up a 3.5 myself.

I love my G6. I have not had it for long, so it hasn't seen much use yet, but I can't imagine it will disappoint me. I got the full flat grind and 3D micarta. The only minor issue that I had was that the handle edges near the lanyard hole were too sharp. 5 minutes with some fine sandpaper and it was perfect though.
