bradford guardian scale fasteners

Can anyone tell me what kind of tool to use to remove the handle scales from a Bradford guardian 3? I've never seen the fasteners they use before and I just picked up a pair of different scales to try.

The bits that came with my G3 scales are stamped #4.. Both the bits broke within minutes when trying to get the original fasteners loose. Some people say you need #6 spanners but mine from bradford are definitely #4

Bradford fasteners have always frustrated me. After a few broken spanner bits I’ve begun hitting factory placed scales with a heat fun for second before unscrewing them. That’s worked well so far...
