I know this has been addressed before but ...

This Knife is Great love it! fit ,finish ..size almost perfect.

But its a pain to close ..tried the pencil lead /graphite not much help

How long to break in this lock .

It seems that the frame lock is moving more into blade

I was in the same situation with my Alias I and found that the Sharpie trick (same as the pencil lead/graphite trick but using a Sharpie permanent marker) helped immensely. Hope it works for you, too.

Amazing ! it did work . I figured pencil = graphite so it might help [not so much]

Whats in the sharpie ink its like teflon .

May I ask, what is this "trick" you guys are referring to? I haven't heard anything about it....

Thanks

You "paint" the very end of the lockbar (i.e. the edge that actually touches the blade tang) with sharpie marker. This makes disengagement much smoother.

That was amazing! My Alias 1 was a sticker. Thought I might have a dud knife. Smooth as silk now.
