traded a member for this alias in blue

nice knife, very comparable to the sebenza in quality.

smoother opening, slightly. both feel exceptional in the hand

except in tolerances, its nuts how close everything is in a sebenza. thats where CRK to me stands out, and rather clearly. all that money goes into fitting.

it is a fine knife.

i know the blue is discontinued, but i hear tale that the whole alias line is gone

This is my older model LE - not nearly as blue as yours (unless it's just the pic):

Top one, obviously:

Besides fit do not forget.
-Perfected lock
-Customer service that is second to none
-It comes with a cloth ;)

Congrats brother. I like the alias ALOT! That blue is spectacular, but I hope they did not really stop making them. Although I only own one of them. I like the designs equally. The blade on the Alias is a mean slicer as well. But to me they feel and look nothing like each other.
What did you trade for it? If you dont mind me asking.
Matt

I bought one to use as a gift...Alias 2 half-serrated. Changed my mind on the gift, tried to sell the Alias. It was brand-new; finally got $140 for it here. Beautiful blue color. DID NOT remind me of a Sebenza. Lots of folks call it a poor man's Sebenza; I suppose that may have merit.

He was right on target, IMO. IF they were "close" to a Sebenza, all of us would own two or more. (...and some of us do..) :)

i traded my seb 25 for it and some cash, i had wanted one but they were already discontinued, and i wanted to fund some stuff for a rifle

the sebenza 25 has a great lockup though my spyderco vallotton feels every bit as tough.

I find the idea of a pissing contest between a $200+ knife and a $400+ knife to be a little rediculous. Both would be exceptional in the grand scheme of knives, and far better than your run of the mill big box store knives.

The fit was the big noticeable difference to me. the finish on the bradley is exeptional, everything about it is real nice.

I love that deep blue donut.

Sonny, i can only find a half serrated here and there for sale, i am almost tempted to order one, but im not a huge fan of the blade style.

lookin good tiguy.

i emailed benchmade about refinishing the knife and general work since i carry it and after a while would be nice to be able to send it off to the factory to be prettied up again

benchmade will service alias models, they can not replace blades or re annodize, but they will sharpen and clean up the internals and make it smooth if you need it

can always get it reannodized by someone else

I know where there is 3 half serrated brand new from factory alias 1's rightnow (black blade), email me if you want. I lost that knife to you from the guy who had it in the sale section. Glad I waited tho cuz just scored a first production for cheap (like the gray better) Yes Benchmade will replace blades. When I was gonna buy the half serrated I called them to ask and they told me they did have some and would do it. They said so last week at least

the email i got a few days ago says they wont replace my blade.

maybe they have serrated left overs.

not a huge fan of half blades, though for a deal i may get one, but probably not. not even for a deal
