Wow. What a great knife. I know the endless comparisons this knife faces with the more expensive and higher quality Sebenza but I just have to ask if anyone else is as impressed with there alias as I am. I have owned a few sebenzas and can't seem to hold on to them. I think it has to do with how much I love the umnumzaan but for a guy who the sebenza just doesn't find a place in there pocket the Alias 1 works great. This fires so fast and the blade feels like its on glass bearings. The quality feel of the sebenza is lacking a little but for a nice user you can't go wrong.

I agree , it's a great knife. Just a little thumb flick and the blade flies open and locks up.
Excellent ergos, typical Benchmade quality....

I don't ever think of it as a substitute for my Sebenza , it's great on its own merits.

I think your right about the substitute comment. Before I owned it, all I heard was that its a poor mans sebenza and I even repeated it many times. It's a great knife in its own right. Would still be a great option for someone not wanting to spend $350 on a used sebenza and want a similar feel.

Thanks

Definitely, you can't go wrong and I got mine at a good price because it's part serrated. Even though I hate PS , I couldn't pass it up.

I like mine, which has black G10 on one side, especially for the blade shape. It is a thin, light knife and very easy to carry. I wouldn't want to baton it through a tree but for an EDC to the office it is great.

I really like mine, carrying it today actually. I found one with the blue handle before they were all gone.
