Hello guys, so I am new to this forum, I have read a lot of posts on here over the last year and really enjoy the knowledgeable posts and answers. I have used a lot of it when I'm deciding which knife to buy next. Anyways, I am looking for a Bradley Alias 1 with just the standard titanium handles and straight blade. Also I was wondering what other nice titanium frame locks you guys like. I have a few already and I love them, so I'm looking to expand my collection. Thanks folks.

The Alias is a great reliable framelock known as the poor mans sebenza and some prefer it at a few hundred dollars less.

I have owned an alias and I also love the ZT 0561. Check out the 0566 if you want a knife comparable to the size of the Alias, but assisted and tactical looking.
All of which are easy to get like new or new 170$ish

Just a note:

The above mentioned ZT 0566 does not have a titanium lock--it has a steel frame lock. The ZT 0560/0561 does have a Ti frame lock.

Ya I love the sebenza, I just don't quite have the means yet, that's why I am looking for the poor mans knife in the alias 1. I have handled the small and large sebenzas and love the large one, I'm just kind of waiting for a little while and will then pull the trigger sometime soon probably. I will have to look into the 0566. I have looked at the 0560 which looks like a nice knife. I like assisted openers, but having a smooth manual knife that opens like an assisted is even better IMO. Thanks guys

Just save a little while and go for the Sebbie! It is worth the extra $$ from what I have heard. In my opinion, it is better to do it "right" the first time than to have to redo it, spending even more in the process.

The only thing that bothers me about the zt 0560 and 61 is the different colors on each handle , I would love if it had the titanium color on both handles.

I will definitely go with the sebenza soon, but for some reason I am stuck on getting an Alias 1 as well.

I have owned 12 or so high quality production knives in the 100-300$ range... kershaw, ZT, spyderco, emerson, benchmade etc.. and the bradley alias II is my favorite EDC knife of them all. You won't regret it.

If you get a black wash it matches much better if that works. I like natural colors of titanium and steel myself though, which is why I got the 0561. If you keep your eyes open here. You may see an Alias 1 for sale at a cheap price but they are pretty rare these days. Just trust your gut. Its an amazing knife as well and is more bang for the buck IMO. But if you know you really want the Sebbie more after handling it, then wait for that.
Do you have a quality ti framelock in the mean time to use as an EDC? If so, just wait and save up for the seb if you want it.

I have owned the Alias I, IMHO you should skip it and get the Protech Integrity TR-3. Or, as mentioned above, if you have to coin go ahead and get a Sebenza.

That looks like a good option for hillbilly, Ive never seen that before. It looks like a sweet beefed up Alias blade.

Ya I have looked at the pro tech integrity as well, but have not done much research on it yet. It looks like an awesome knife, and I definitely need to look into it. I would love to buy an Alias 1, I have just not been able to find the one I want for sale.
And yes I have two titanium frame locks at the moment. I have the Benchmade Lerch Subrosa, and the Boker epicenter. I have been carrying the Subrosa for a while now and I like it, but it's just not quite there, it has a few issues and it's just time for a new one.

Alias 1 is a good knife but I find the Alias 2 handier as an EDC knife and is on that I carry often at work. It often get's the Sebenza comparison but IMO the similarity is in the build materials only. The 2 have very different ergos and blade grinds.

I had an Alias 2 for a little while, but the guy I bought it from did not take care of it and had a lot of problems, also it was to small for my liking. I prefer larger knives. Size and weight aren't a huge factor for me, in fact sometimes I will carry two knives, by adding a Buck vantage pro with G10 handles and S30V blade. I actually really like this knife. It feels strong, and looks good, and slices like a razor blade.

So eschwebach, I have been looking around at the integrity, and have had a hard time finding one, most places are sold out. But I did find one on some website for $229, and that seemed like a good price for that knife from what I have seen. Is this a correct assessment.

Another option is the AG Russell Acies 2, its around the size of the Bradley Alias 2 and has a full Ti frame with VG-10 steel. I have heard great things about the quality of the AG Russell knives and specifically the Acies 2, so if you don't mind slightly smaller knife then its a good option.

Yep, I ordered mine from ExtremAddiction.com. Sergey is a paid dealer here on BF, so we can mention him. Although I think we should stay away from prices as that may be construed as deal spotting.

This is what I like about the Integrity: the handle feels better in the hand, the larger thumb stud makes it very easy to open even with gloves on. It has a large stop pin for wear, and nice heavy duty body screws and barrel spacers. Mine opens very smooth and there are zero fit and finish issues. I have also had no issues with the lock bar sticking (so far).

I realize that this is not the norm, but I had to send my Alias I back twice. Once for a sticky lock bar and second for lock rock. Benchmade finally replaced the knife (excellent customer service BTW). The new knife was perfect, so I had both experiences with the knife.

Thanks for the heads up on the Acies 2. It is a beautiful knife, just a little to small for my liking.

Thanks, I'll have to check out that website and decide on what I want to do. But either way, if anyone comes across an Alias 1, I would appreciate the heads up.
