Bradley Alias II

Since my first name is Bradley, I thought it only appropriate that I add one of these to the collection. I received it yesterday and really like it. Matter of fact, I like it better than my Sebenzas. I prefer the shape of this knife and find it easier to open. The blade is totally free falling, yet has zero play. Fit and finish is perfect.

My only complaint is the clip. I wish it rode lower in my pocket. I work in an office and would love a deep carry clip. Am I correct that these were actually manufactured by Benchmade? If so, what are the chances of finding a deep carry clip that would work?

I can state with certainty that Benchmade did in fact produce the Alias line, and that the three holed Benchmade clips will fit perfectly.

I replaced the short, shiny clip on my Alias with a longer, black clip from one of my BM AFCK's.

Also, Knifekits.com sells clips that are also a perfect fit. I know this because I bought one. The part # for those clips is "model 19CLIP". There are four different variety's that are a perfect fit. That's my experience anyways.

I don't know of any clips using the same hole pattern that would carry the knife any deeper than the original clip. But I'm sure there are people on this forum who could make you one.

On a side note- when I decided to buy my Alias I was also considering a Sebenza (handling both in a store), I liked the Alias better also. Just my personal preference. It's been a daily user for around 7 years with no complaints. Still going strong. I also replaced the pointy little thumbstud with one of the "turbine" thubstuds from Knifekits. A change that made me like the knife even more.

I only like when knives are discontinued if I have one. The Alias is a great knife. I love how smooth it opens. It is one of my favorite knives to sit and play with. I do prefer the Alias 1, over the 2. The 2 is just too much on the small side.

I've been after the Alias 2 for so long now. One of these days I'll snag one on the exchange.
