Bradley Beam Style Power Hammer

So guys what do you think of them? its a 40 pounder
needs a little work but the price is right. anyone here use one of these hammers??? thanks for the input guys

Those old helve hammers are pretty cool. I've never used one, but there's something very intriguing about those old machines. They're among the oldest power hammer designs, most likely inspired by the water-wheel driven power hammers from the middle ages...

Len Schechter at Rural Archaeology might be able to answer some questions for you, He's got a 200# Bradley helve hammer.
