I wanted to find a knife similar to Sebenza and was suggested to have a look a Bradley knives. Well, after reading this forum, I see it is quite competitive to Sebenza. However, I have a few questions:
1. I cannot find much information on warranty of Bradley knives, I did not find it even on their website. Where could I see them?
2. Sebenza's warranty allows the knife to be disassembled. What about Bradley knives? One of the reasons I am interested in Sebenza is because it would allow me to disassemble it. I understand it is simple mechanism, but anyway :D
3. Do Bradley Cutlery make knives for left-handers?
4. If I decide to go for Bradley, where can I find the best price? I will need to import it to the UK then.
Thank you,

Benchmade warranty is excellent, but disassembly will void the warranty. However, if you put it back properly, they wont know.
They do not make a lefty model.
If you look a few post down, there is a gentleman that ordered from newgraham.com and they shipped to the UK or Canada (can't remember). You may need to loosen the pivot screw when you receive it (don't you hate customs?).

Another question - do they make knives for left-handers? I am not interested in butterfly model, more interested in models similar to Sebenza.
Thanks,

Bradleys don't come left handed as far as I know. The bearing surface area and the locking face area is smaller then a sebenza. The stop pin floats. IMO the Bradley is a OK $100 knife.

If you can afford it, go for the sebenza. I bought mine some years ago with a double thumb break, so suitable for using with left hand. Haven´t seen this option now in the CR web. I order it directly to Chris Reeve. Excelent customer service. I had no problems with customs in Spain, not at all. With a Bradley I had to pay import fees to the European Union. 16% VAT and 12% import fees, so expect the price to be increased by 1/3 getting into the EU.

Hi OmegaA,

I just got my new Alias II in the mail this week. Here's my thoughts on your questions. I can highly recommend this knife from a 'feel' perspective. It feels great in the hand, has a low profile and is very thin in the pocket, weighs next to nothing, and there's zero blade play at all. I have not used it much yet, but have read good things about this knife and S30V steel.

1. I couldn't find Bradley's warranty info, but benchmade's is here:

http://www.benchmade.com/about_knives/warranty.asp

2. No, I don't think they allow disassembly, but really, how would they know?

3. No left handed model available. I emailed Bradley a while back to ask whether they were planning to release a lefty or dual version and the answer was no. Polite, and quick to respond, but still no. I'm left handed for writing, but pretty much ambidextrous for everything else and this knife works great for me. I could conceivably see it being opened with the left hand once the bearing loosens or wears a track, if it does. You could just flick the stud with your left forefinger.

4. I don't know who has the best price, but I would suggest going with not necessarily the lowest price, but the most reliable retailer. Mine came from NewGraham.com, who sells the II for $168. I paid close to $190 Canadian including shipping and it came quite quickly, delivered in person to my front door (in British Columbia). I read a bit on this forum before settling on NewGraham and can say my one purchase from them went very smoothly.

Good luck with your purchase, whichever way you go.

Bradley is a kershaw brand, not a benchmade brand. Just saying.

This thread is 3 years old. You are also only partially correct. Bradley is definitely not a Kershaw "brand." The Bradley Kimura was an OEM by KAI/Kershaw for Bradley. The Mayhem and Alias knives are/were manufactured by Benchmade.

Not only did ya bring a 3.5 year old thread back from the dead, you did so with incorrect information. Just sayin.

Seems like there's a lot of thread necromancy going on lately lol

But yeah, it's one thing to bring back an ancient thread...but then just to post incorrect information, that's just ludacrisp.
