Hello fellow Spyder lovers,

I am a huge fan of the Stretch and have carried one variation or another (especially the Stretch 2) for quite a long time now. I love the ergos and I'm a big fan of the blade shape, which is one of many reasons I was drawn to the Gayle Bradley. I finally pulled the trigger about a week back or so on a GB1 and have to say I'm very impressed! It's an amazing knife design and those Taichung knives seem to come out flawless. It's an all around beauty of a knife and will be sure to see a lot of use, but for me personally it just doesn't "hug" my hand the way the ol' Stretch does. Well those rusty gears in my noggin started to turn and I thought...why not combine them? Perhaps a Stretch made with M4 steel and a twill carbon fiber handle? In my humblest of opinions that could very much be nearing perfection! Anyway, my apologies for rambling, it's very late haha. Let me know if you would dig this too!

Or, if you can find one, you can get an orange HAP40 Stretch.

Hap40 is closely related to CPM-M4.

Thanks for the suggestion, luckily I've scooped one of these up already! I guess I'm just looking for yet another steel/handle combo. :) Plus there's just something about that carbon fiber, some nice eye candy!

As much as I love the Stretch, I prefer those in VG-10 over any of the less stainless versions. I'd probably buy one in M-4, just to keep my Stretch collection complete, but that's all it would ever be for me, yet another dust collector like the Super Blue and HAP40 ones. As for the twill CF, if you mean the stuff used on the Bradley, I'd be happy to see it on a Stretch but I'm fairly sure it's a proprietary item from the folks in Taichung. Not sure if they'd sell it to the folks in Japan.

Hey Deacon, I'd say your probably right about the CF only being used on the Taiwan knives. Also, let me know if that Super Blue ever gets too dusty for ya! :D I may look into having some custom scales made. There's some people out there with some serious scale making skill! Thanks for the replies, always appreciated!
