I have the black version of the Kimura II on the pass around for this week and I am curious about a few things. First, is the plain stainless version as smooth to flip and this one, or does the coating help with lubricity at the bearing surfaces? Second, does this one have 13C27 or 14C28 for the blade and what is it hardened to? And last, is Bradley going to do another run of the Kimura VIII with the synthetic inserts?

So far I'm pretty impressed with this one, I have the Mayhem, the BM 32 and I've had the BM 42 and BM 31. In spite of all the hype around the 42, I think this is better in some respects than all but the 32. I'll post a full review in that thread later this week. Thanks.

I think the polishing helps a bit.

14C28N

Not sure today

Thanks Thomas, hopefully Kershaw considers doing another run, the first run sold out, maybe a second run would sell out quickly and also be profitable for Kershaw.

PS, Thomas, thanks for letting us have this knife on a passaround, I appreciate it.
