Ok I got the knife itch again. theres two I like 1... bradley 2..... the new FFG manix that just started shipping. which one? both hard use designs, the manix being an ounce lighter and the bradley might be a hare more stout. manix-USA (which i like) bradley-taiwan(neutral). Just cant decide. I really dont care that the manix is a sprint run because this is gonna be a user not for collecting. I'm leaning towards the manix because I like the fact that its made in colorado and Like ffg and foliage green. however that deep hollow grind with CF is rather intriuging as well. thoughts?

I really like the Bradley but would go with the sprint right now because it won't be available long, the Bradley is very popular and probably will be around a little while.

If you are lucky enough to find a FG Manix 2, on an Internet store that is. There may be none left aside from the Spyderco store itself, the MSRP puts it out of many peoples price range though.

you can get the sprint now. it would be easy to sell it later if you don't like it. for about 50 bucks less you can get the regular manix 2.

I like both of them !!!
everyone should have this two knifes .

There are supposed to be around 1000 pieces, thats a pretty large sprint, I imagine there will be some in stock to be found with some searching. Knifecenter has the FG carpenter manix 2 listed at just a shade over $120, similar pricing to the Bradley, plus if money is tight the regular production manix 2 in 154cm is a smokin deal IMO!

They're both excellent knives, top notch build quality and both heavy duty. At the end of the day it's up to what you really prefer.
Personally the Bradley satisfy's my needs better, I owned the CF S90V Manix 2 for a while but I never really warmed to it, so I passed it on in a trade. I still use my original Mini Manix though.

Like many, I'd say get the Manix.

Having said that, I have both the blue and CF Manixii(?) and the GB and prefer the GB. It really sees more pocket time than anything else right now. On paper, I like the Manix better (and it's GREAT, don't misunderstand). I like the design, the lock, the grind all better on the Manix. But I carry the Bradley... I guess it's a 'more than the sum of the parts' thing? Dunno...

BUT - for all the reasons stated.... At some point you may want both. If you don't like the Manix I'm sure you could trade it or sell it and get a GB which will be much easier to find than the Manix if you went the other way... Today, I'd buy the Manix.

I find myself in the same dilemma.
I really like the blue Manix 2 I have,S30V, ffg, caged ball lock and milled liners, but still, I can't really warm up to it.
So I'm thinking about trading it for a Bradley.
Single flaw on the Bradley, no finger choil...
Life is all about choices, isn't it? ;)

Actually, there is, it just isn't quite a deep as you may be looking for. I wondered about that too, before I got mine. But the grip is so solid, it really works out very well.

Idont think it will be too hard to get a manix this time around, the run is twice the size as the last one.

I would order the Manix now - but the GB is a must have Spyderco!

I will probly think about this for a week, get ready to place my order, and then order the other one.:o

The 154CM Manix2 is half the price of the Bradley and you will be employing American knifemakers. Easy.
Edit: I have had my 154CM Manix2 for over 6 months now and I just sharpened it for the first time yesterday. I would rate it better than BM's 154CM, must be the heat treat.

+1 for USA made products

I know this has been answered before but does the regular Manix 2 (with the saber grind) have drilled liners?

This is a very interesting statement and I have to agree with you. I too have the CF and Blue Manix 2's along with a couple GB's and the GB just can't get removed from my pocket much since I got it a few months ago now.

Awesome knife but not taking away from the awesome Manix 2 variations either.
