Here’s some pictures of my new Bailey Bradshaw folder with the Sawby lock. The lock is easy to use and since it's inside the bolsters it won't get lint or other gunk in it.

The knife is 3 inches with the forged W2 steel blade just under 2.5 inches. He makes a lager model of this knife as well, but I went with the smaller one. It’s the first one he made after the prototype he posted earlier and I’m quite pleased with it. I paid a little extra for the shield. Sorry for the crappy scans.

That is a FINE looking knife!:thumbup:

I love his work and with his new use of the Sawby lock--it is even better!

You are a lucky dog!!

That's a real beauty!

It is a little weird seeing torx screws on a knife of that style.
Regardless I'm jealous and hope to be in your will someday. ;)

Thanks all. I've wanted one of his knives for a while. I'm used to slipjoints so at first I thought it needed a nail nick, but there is plenty of blade to grab on to and like Bailey said it has cleaner look this way.

Here's the thread that explains how the lock works:

And here is a picture Bailey sent before it was finished.

That's a VERY nice knife Mike - congrats and enjoy! I'd love one with mammoth scales, engraved bolsters and forged carbon steel blade. Bailey plans to have a few of these new models at Blade and I'm betting they go real fast.

This is pure class. Personally, I think the Torz screws are a tiny reminder that this is a folder... for some reason, I associate screws with folders. Opened, the knife looks like my dream idea of the perfect small game and utility hunter. Bradshaw and Sawby ROCK ! And you are most lucky... :) Jason.

RogerP, me too! Bailey said in an email that he would post pictures of his prototype once he was done engraving it. I'm tempted to ask him to engrave this one.

Of course, the knife looks even better in person. I lightened it up too much in PhotoShop.

Bailey's engraving is suprisingly reasonable and unsurprisingly excellent. I would at least get a quote. Enjoy!

VCM3, I was hoping you'd show the bigger model you got with the mastodon. Very nice.

Greg, great to hear from you.

RogerP, I emailed Bailey about engraving. Thanks.

I agree, Jason. That would make a great little fixed blade. Not that there is anything at all wrong with Mike's "bendy" one.:)
