I guess i had just checked a dealer's site after an upodate, because i am always too late for the really good stuff, but this time, I got lucky.

I picked up a beautiful Bailey Bradshaw (MS) "Folding" Bowie, 3.5" blued, multibar damascus blade and bolster, sharp top clip, amazing mammoth ivory scales, hammered silver liners and pins, it's a bail lock, smooth, no play, perfect. Theres some simple but elegant engraving on the bolsters too, just a gorgeous folder. I also got a full size Bowie from him as well, Claro walnut, blued multi-bar damascus guard and buttcap, forged 8 1/4" blade with sharp top clip, and, when you unscrew the sculpted, blued steel screw in the buttcap, the handle comes right off for cleaning, my first, not last, bowie actually.

Finally, a presentation hunter by MS Steve Dunn. Wow is this thing beautiful, awesome damascus 4.25" blade, as sharp as any knife Ive ever seen, amazing engraving on the guard with gold inlays, pins are engraved and some very choice stag. The mortised stag handle is so well done, with my fingernail, i cannot feel the seam, just incredible work. Its hard to decide which i prefer, this one or my Fisk Sendero, luckily, I dont have to decide. :)

And here they are...

The color and quality of the stag is better captured in this picture.

Those are all really great knives. The folder is rather stunning as a matter of fact. The bowie's handle treatment really adds a lot to that knife. The Dunn hunter just oozes class. You are one lucky dog to have been able to add those three to your collection.

Across the board talent. Congrats on some beautiful work! Amazing posts this week.

Wow - you must be thrilled with those! Such fine work by some of the best.

My favorite? Probably the Dunn. That knife is just classy, and so beautifully embellished. Although, I really like that bowie too...

drool....

Three at once? THOSE three? Is your head spinning??

Three great choices too. My thoughts -

1) I'm not much into folders but I really like this one. The dropped choil does it for me - it says "forged blade" right out loud. The blued damascus provides some real eye-candy.

2) The bowie - pure class. My favorite type of knife and my favorite fo the three. What great lines. Beautiful walnut handle to boot. Bailey is turning out some really stunning bowies. Can't wait to see what he does next.

3) Dunn hunter. Pure luxury. Bold and beautiful mosaic damascus pattern. Stunning engraving with gold inlay an dstag handle. How you would get more up-scale in a hunter, I have no idea.

Thanks for sharing those pics.

Thanks! My heart nearly stopped when I realized what I had just spent. :) Ahhh, the beauty of plastic and debt...

I appreciate the comments, after all, much of the fun of collecting this stuff is sharing it with others who appreciate them as much as i do, but let's always remember, all I did was buy them, that's relatively easy to do, the real honors go to the makers, an d Bailey and Steve are just doing some amazing stuff. I barely feel qualified to wipe them with a flannel cloth. (I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy... :). )

Bailey is certainly making a name for himself, I sort of feel like he makes very appealing, traditional style/pattern blades that have a classic, familiar look, but adds his own flair, and he doesnt seem to be lacking in the flair dept. . :) I like that his knives are sole authorship, he does his own inlays and engraving, impressive for a fairly new MS.

My only criticism is that I cant buy everything these guys make... :)

Speechless...

I personally think that Bailey Bradshaw is not really and up-and-comer - he's there !! With the best of them, and I do think his work has a signature personality. What I enjoy is his attention to the fine details of embellishment that are always tasteful and elegant. Jason.
