Brahma Knife

I've got email alerts set up for some of my usual places, for when it comes in stock. Next to the Selkirk, this is the new Buck I want most.

Hi Sky,

I like it a lot! Looks and feels great very cool version of the 119.

Thanks guys, reminds me just a little of my old GI Camillus. When they become readily available I may get one . It looks pretty rugged.

I really want one, since I've carried a 119 for years hunting and camping, but I'm going to wait for a few in-depth reviews first, just to make sure Buck worked out any kinks that might have come from making a new knife. The 119 is the reason I've vever gotten any of the Gerber or other cheap fixed blade knives, the 119 is just too perfect to get a different brand. (For me) Add to that a good grip and much more rugged look, and I'm in love haha.

If the Brahma is as solid as it looks, imho Buck may land some Government purchases on this model.

When I get a Brahma,I think the first thing I'll do is give the handle a coating of mink oil .

Hi, Horse & Bear. So, good to see you.
Yes, a coat of mink oil will help it, living in the SW. What is the blade coating? DM

Hope there is an option down the road for a std 119 sheath with it. Don't care for the "tactical" one which I think it comes with now. Or, I can pick up a spare sheath but it's adding cost.

Buck offers sheath only for the 119, black or burgundy.

I love the look of the new Buck 119 Brahma. I think a sheath something like this WW-II - Korea era sheath (my Imperial bayonet and issue sheath) would be perfect with this style of combat knife. OH

I got mine yesterday. The handle on mine is smaller diameter than the one my cousin got a month or more ago. Feels much better in my hand.
