Hey there folks,

Here's a new Berardo fighter. Very simple knife in its furniture, but a nice one on it's simplicity. Blade is 8" long with 52100 carbon steel, stainless hardware and premium imbuia burl handle. Sheath is cow leather, hand sewed.

Hope you like it!

Yes. Simple, Elegant. Nice blade and handle shape.
The Imbuia Burl is outstanding.

Shirts not bad either :D :D

I really like the look of the contoured handles on Berardo's knives. I look forward to getting my mits one one some day. That is some real pretty wood.

Beautiful burl,great handle.
Very nice looking fighter.
Thanks for posting it Jeff. It looks very clean.
Do you know if it was belt sharpened ?

I am with Montgomery and Jones on the swedge issue. I really wish that the blade was a full 10", at 8" it seems just too small relative to the handle. A simple channel around the guard and my check would be on the way.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I will see that Berardo receive all the sugestions. But this one was supposed to be simple, and that was the design moto for this blade. There is an order coming out by next weekend that will be just like you guys want, and I will be more than happy to post the poictures for you.

Do you know if it was belt sharpened ?

No, the bevel or grind is made on the belt grinder flat all the way to zero with a 220 grits belt, and from that on, he puts on the hand satin finish. When that is done, the blade is already very sharp. It goes to the stones now (a couple at least with diferent grits) and leather impregnated with polishing compound (same stuff barbers would use on razors 60 or 70 years ago) for that litle extra.
