Lately I've taken a break from tool making to learn a little about making knives. So after a couple of disastrous attempts I think I'm picking up a little. I decided to try pattern welding some 1080 and 15n20 together and made a little skinning knife with a hidden tang. This one is knife #3. I'm finding this to be very enjoyable and a nice departure from making things like drawknives and carving hatchets.

Looking good.....you obviously learn quickly! :)

My only "criticism" would be to add a small sharpening choil to remove the "bump" at the plunge line. It makes straightline sharpening with a stone much easier.
Thank you. I do a good bit of blacksmithing already so the forging process isn't foreign to me. I kept screwing up my grinds trying to use jigs, much better with the free handing. I'll do that on the next one, this one is already gone. Not bad for making it last night, I did forge out and rough grind another one though... it's tempering as I type. Just what needed was another rabbit hole.

Please continue to post your work.....I know I speak for many when I say MORE, MORE, MORE!!!!😜😜😜.

Thanx in advance for any consideration you give my request....

Have a great holiday and stay safe and healthy!!!!!
