Congrats! Awesome group. That bronze anodized clip/filler looks great with the brown scale.

Thanks guys!!
Of course, I'll be living in a cardboard box in an alley soon but at least I have 2 nice knives and a pen to keep me company.

And so it begins.

Nice stuff. You are off to a good start in an impressive amount of time. I own a few, and still am not content. Perhaps a cardboard box....no wait....I'd just wittle it into tiny pieces while playing with my XMs.:D

Once I set my mind to acquire a knife, I do whatever it takes, I sold some really nice knives to get both of my XM-24's, But it was well worth it, I've carried my Brown G10 XM-24 every day since I got it and the Gray G10 XM-24 came today and it's been in my pocket all day as well, At times I've had one in each pocket:)
Now that I have my Hinderers, All other folders seem inadequate.

so what's the story with these...seems like the price is $385 list but actual is $1000

are they not making them?
who gets to pay $385?

Excerpt from "Sticky" on Main/Home page of the Hinderer Forum-

General Information regarding XM-18 sales

We do sell GEN 3 production XM-18's directly to active military personnel and first responders (LEO, EMT, EMS). All other XM-18 sales go through our dealers. Hand ground custom knives are primarily available at knife shows throughout the year. We do not take orders for hand ground customs.

It's the supply and demand thing, Everybody wants one so as soon as they are made they sell fast.
I've had dozens of knives and my Hinderers are by far the best made and highest quality.
One of, If not the best folder you can buy.

The XM-24 (that the OP posted) has a table price of $550 (and up depending on options), $385 is the table price of the XM-18. The secondary market is what it is. Hinderer Knives migrates from one production run of a model to another typically and the production run currently is the XM-18 3" model I believe. Others have already directed you to the "Sticky".
