Brand New in Original Box with all Original Paperwork Microtech Currahee in Tan Camo. This is an amazing knife! The steel is D2 tool steel. Blade is 4.48" long, 2"(!!!) wide and 0.20" thick. Overall length is 10". This knife screams for action! It defines the tactical knife and by saying "TACTICAL" we simply mean a knife made to be used.

Back in July 2007, Ralph Mroz posted an article about this knife in TACTICAL KNIVES MAGAZINE. This is the link to the first two paragraphs from this article:

The versatility of this knife is amazing. The broad blade offers a number of advantages in a tactical knife: not only does it allow a lot of steel to be present, it also gives the ability to achieve more narrow angles in sharpening. This means you have a slasher which can also take punishment from lateral stress.
The blade has a "Saber Grind". This means that the grind begins near the middle of the blade rather than at its spine. This is an excellent heavy duty chopping grind because if features flat edge bevels that are typically left very thick. Not so with the Currahee though. Again, here is where the width of the blade allows steeper angles, therefore less resistance, therefore better cutting. The overall heft and blade geometry of this knife allows it to be used for chopping too. It has a raised thumb rest with aggressive jimping and a choil. An excellent swedge starts almost in front of the thumb rest and continues to the tip. This configuration makes a very strong tip. The combo edge is literally razor sharp. The serrations are so sharp that you can easily push cut newspaper print with it. It is also very easy top keep it this way: just use a white (Fine) ceramic stick from a Spyderco Sharpmaker and with a few strikes you'll be good to go. These serrations will go through the toughest fibrous material as if its not even there!

The handle of the knife is made of Tan Camo Canvas Micarta scales. The thickness of the handle is 3/4". Three oversized Microtech proprietary screws per side hold the scales at their place. There is a ample slot at the end of the handle through which the owner may pass paracord for making a lanyard. The steel goes all the way passed the handle and creates an extension suitable for pounding. The low part of the handle forms a underguard that prevents the user's hand from sliding onto the razor edge.
The nylon sheath is heavy duty as well. It has an inner kydex sleeve which is coated (this is not a typo, it really is coated) with felt to prevent it from scratching the blade! If it ain't attention to detail, then I don't what it is. The knife can be inserted either way in its sheath. Two retention straps provide excellent purchase in the sheath. It has an ample front pouch that can take a double staggered pistol magazine, a large frame pocket knife or, a full size pocket tool. A horizontal elastic strap and a vertical adjustable clasp closing strap ensure that the items will remain in it. This sheath offers many mounting options: around the waist, reversed, on an LBE and even small-of-back carry. There is also an adjustable leg strap should the owner chooses to secure the system on his / her thigh.
This is a knife that can be used as an operator's knife (SWAT, Paratrooper, Navy Seals), an outdoorsman knife or, a hunter's knife. It's suitable for chopping, digging, prying, skinning, food preparation, bushcraft, even as a general survival knife.
