There were "boxcar loads" of knives and knife parts when the Schrade bankruptcy sale was completed. Additionally, there have been stories of knives being put together both before and after the sale... some by Schrade workers prior to the sale, and by unknowns after, in some cases "anything that seems to fit".
A person can find still find quite a few Schrade knives with interesting combinations of blades or blade markings. This was true even during the production years, and often loosely termed "lunch box knives". Blades from other patterns, etc floating around on Ebay. Many times with incorrect information and terms like "prototypes" or "salesman samples" being supplied by the seller. A lot of Schrade seconds that were sold in the Ellenville area back in the day show up too, with ground off tangs.
There are some known sellers that have reassembled knives, and even reportedly made counterfeit boxes and bling, although I'm not 100% sold on the notion that has actually happened with the packaging. Others may disagree.
Among those "frankenknives" though, with the exception of some of the Cigar Box series that came out in the 2003-2004 time frame, it does not seem to me any vintage Schrade Walden stamped knives were reassembled from vintage Schrade Walden parts. At least not on a very large scale and offered on Ebay.
Some of the Cigar Box series, which did have Schrade Walden stamps and bone handles have showed up unfinished... minus shields or blade etches for example. Sometimes minus the cigar box. And then new Cigar Box series were made after the sale by Taylor LLC as well. It can be fairly confusing sometimes trying to sort out what is a genuine Schrade USA knife.
For several years, Taylor came out with Schrade Walden knives in what appeared to be the vintage plastic tube, and they clearly have the Taylor name used in the packaging (if the packaging is offered). So it is a good thing to ask Ebay sellers, though some might not be truthful...
There were Schrade Walden knives made after 2004 by Camillus (Everlastingly Sharp etch, plastic tubes, non Schrade pattern numbers, not stamped on the back of the tang), Bear and Sons (old fashioned blue box with one pin on the handles), and Utica (looks like their Catskill and Green Bone Seres). Great Eastern did a Schrade Cut Co which they called the "Fire and Ice" Series.
Hope this helps. If anyone has questions about a particular knife, usually someone over in the Schrade forum is game for giving the knife in question a once over.
