I recently got my first Sebenza, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best folding knife I've ever owned. IMHO all the Sebenza hype can be believed without question. Fit and finish, including the quality of construction and the knifes overall feel are outstanding. I've got to give a big shoutout to my fellow BladeForum members, and to the very controversial YouTube presenter "Nutnfancy" for steering toward this wonderful piece of American craftsmanship. Along with the Sebenza 21 I also ordered a belt sheath from Gfeller Casemakers, and a nice light blue lanyard from CRK. I'm also putting in an order for a Devin Thomas Basket Weave double thumb lug blade that will give me at least a year to EDC this knife before I'll have my grail Sebenza, a plain titanium slab 21 with a Damascus blade. The pj Sebenza is a great folding knife that perfectly complements my fixed blade Fallkniven A1. Hopefully they will be all the cutting tools that I'll need in the field.

Nice pics, but wouldn't the CRK forum be a better place to share this? Also didn't Nutnfancy call the Sebenza a "douche knife"? Just curious how his superior judgment in all things everything led you to choosing a Sebenza.

My apologies uofaeger. I was so excited about getting a new knife that I neglected to post this in the proper thread.

Please, next time,,, take a minute to put your threads into the right spot. It literally takes a second.

That's a good way to start down the CRK road! A sebenza really does have to be held and played with to be fully appriciated:thumbup:
When you get your Damascus version, expect the same great craftsmanship with an extra touch of class and a blade that takes an even keener edge.

Congratulations on your first CRK. It is a reliable knife that you will enjoy to take apart, clean and admire the simplicity of the design.
Have fun with it and go cut something!!!!!

Excellent choice on the Damascus Sebbie! They are amazing on an even higher level than non-Damascus CRK's. They help me save money because now I only want to buy the Damascus Sebs, which limits my options, thereby saving me money.:)

Use it and enjoy seeing it build it's own unique charachter, making it yours.

Nice! I love my plain janes. What about that case for it? Can you wear it in the horizontal position? I thought about getting one but vertical doesn't fit on my right side where I would want to wear it. Just curious. Anyway, congrats on a great blade, I guess I'm a four time "douche":)

Thanks makariotes. Yes the Chris Reeve Sebenza sheath can be worn horizontally, but you'll need a belt that doesn't exceed 1 1/4" in width, like a dress belt.

Congrats! Always nice to read about the exitement of new members of the CR family, when receiving their 1st CR knife.

Ok I got it; very cool sheath indeed. I'm thinking about getting one. Thanks for the reply man.

Congratulations on your first CRK. The plain jane is where I also started. It is a simple, elegant, and a totally work horse of a knife.

Goodluck to your wallet as you will definitely want more soon... :D

Thanks ice_man. For right now I'm going to get used to just carrying this wonderful folding knife with me as I do my wallet, car key fob, iPhone, Burt's Bees lip balm, and usually a $1 or so in pocket change. I faxed my order to Alycia at CRK for a DT Damascus dbl lug blade for my large 21 this afternoon. image.jpgimage.jpgHopefully I'll totally forget about it until they charge my bank card.image.jpg

Congratulations!
"plain Jane" ha, couldn't be less overstated. There's just no plain in that Jane.
