Hi so this is my first post. I am not super familiar with axes or blades in general but working on improving my knowledge. My family has jumped on whole hog which is great yesterday I got an 8lb splitting Maul a maul of uncertain weight and a single bit axe for $0.00
The 8lb maul is so so with a fiber glass handle. The axe looks okay appears to have no manufacturing marks but I still need to clean it up and rehang it the handle looks nice but does not appear to have been installed correctly. I am most excited with the smaller Maul Head it's about 6lb and needs to be hung I cleaned it up yesterday and my wifes grandfather helped me put a rough edge on it. It appears to be made by a company called safety goods or good made USA but the stamp is very faded does anyone know anything about this company? I will post pictures when I am to take some later.
