What's up everybody? I recently contacted BladeForums member flatblackcapo about making a piece for me. I remember browsing his page a while back and falling in love with one of his designs. I knew when I had the extra dough that I was going to hit him up.

Well, after several updates, constant emails and much vulgar language exchanged between us, my brand new Tupper Knife & Tool "Jinto" arrived yesterday! I couldn't be happier with this piece, and it's time to share my excitement with everyone here.

I just love the elegant yet simple design of this blade.

Kevin's gut told him to polish the tip, and I'm glad he did! It makes it pop out in the natural light.

Speaking of polish, check this out!

It makes such a great contrast with the roughed-up stonewash of the rest of the blade and handle. The gutted blue paracord was dipped in epoxy and makes the grip extremely comfortable.

Did I mention the gray kydex sheath he included with the Jinto? It fits like a glove and the gray looks awesome coupled with the blue of the handle wrap and lanyard. He let me choose the colors for the sheath and paracord, and I think it's safe to say I made a good call :D

Well, that's it for now. Today is my first day with this in my pocket, so I don't have anything to report in terms of actual use, but rest assured I'll update this thread after a week or two. Please sound off in this thread. Let me know what you think! I would love to hear any feedback from you guys. Take care and happy Friday to all my forum buddies. Thank you so much Kevin, I already love this thing!

Nice! Is that a "jinto" killed cat on your porch?

It's our Pomeranian, Cleo! And I haven't slashed him yet, but he was giving me the stink eye earlier and I almost went out there to wave this Jinto in his face! :p

Hey I have one of those! Congrats dude, Kevin makes good stuff!

He's working on something for me right now and I think its gonna be a breakout piece for him.

I'm just getting acquainted with his work, and I've gotta say that the quality is excellent!

I can't wait to see what you get, Evan! You'll have to let me know as soon as he's done with it.

I saw that one on his site, and its bigger than I thought going by that in-hand pic. He's also working on something for me :D

Oh hell yes! He's definitely a great guy to work with. We must have emailed each other every day since he started working on it. Sometimes more than once!

I would like one of his sheepsfoot blade knives, I think. I may have to contact him myself, his work seems to be pretty fantastic.

Go for it, brother! I can't recommend Kevin enough

The guy is an absolute pleasure to work with. And his pricing is awesome!

Will do man!

And yeah I have to echo everything you've said here. Kev is a really great dude and a pleasure to work with. Hands down one of the nicest and most down to earth people I've met here.

Awwww shucks you guys. :o I'm glad you like the Jinto. I might as well tell the tale of how it got its name. I am terrible at naming knives so I appointed Rolf as my official knife namer. I sent Rolf a pic and he replied with "Jinto" . He told me is means "War blade" . Come to think of it I never bothered to check if that is what it really means or not so, it could mean anything really. Now I am afraid to check, knowing Rolf. lol!
Thanks all you guys!

Hahaha that's great! No wonder he kept chiming in about the name.

Rolf, just tell me it doesn't mean anything perverted :D
