I thought Strider stopped making these. And man that thing looks so freaking awesome!!!!!

Where did you find it?

It's not a Strider. It's an MSC-Mick Strider Custom.

I'm a little out of the loop - is Mick Strider no longer associated with Strider the company, or are you just saying that Strider and MSC each do their own completely separate things and production runs?

Yes it says MSC right on it. But.... it's still a Strider. Did you know. Strider is Mick Strider's last name??

Can you guess what the "S" in MSC stands for??? I'll give you a hint... STRIDER.

Cool knife. I always liked the AR/GB series knives back when they were the old school liner lock versions. I would probably still buy one or
two if I could find them in mint condition in.. not black. I had a framelock AR for a while as well. Great knives, and yours is definitely sweet
also. Congrats and enjoy it. I really like MSC dagger grinds.

And what does the "C" stand for?
It's a Custom knife by Mick himself. Strider the brand may have stopped production, but Mr. Strider can build whatever the hell he wants, when he wants.

Okay, This Is For NorthernSouthpaw:

Here is a rewrite of my original post. Because apparently it didn't meet his standards.

I thought "That Company" stopped making those. And man that thing looks so freaking awesome!!!!!

MSC and Strider knives are not exactly the same thing.....

Strider is run by Josh and puts out the standard SnG/SMF/Fixed blades we all love....

MSC is Mick making customs of whatever he want's, and while the AR/GB are discontinued in the Strider 'production' catalogue, nothing is stopping Mick from making a few customs.

While we're at it, here is a custom GB, but not by Mick, by a much better grinder!!!

Mick has his own website......

Thank you for elaborating for me JR.
Nice GB!
DDC right?

I don't think it's rocket science trying to figure out this is a MSC when it says so right on it. I don't know why we're being so literal here..
I personally own Microtech's and Marfione's. It's the same dynamic. Not rocket science... Also own 2 Strider's for the record.

I apologize to the Op for the stupid knife nerd fight on his thread.

But I would like to know where you found this fine blade. What site did you find it on?

Thanks guys. It's not available on any website I've seen. When I got it Mick had just made a few for The Gathering (USN forum knife show) I think. He posted some pics on IG while he was making it. I got one through Strider, I can't say exactly why Josh offered it to me because when he did I didn't ask why I just jumped on it and said of course I want it thank you soooo much. Here's what the circumstances were. I made a post on Strider knives FB page about a MSC AR offered for sale by a guy in Russia. The Russian is on BF and USN but had no feedback or posts. I was asking the guys on Strider for advice or thoughts on the possible purchase/trade. I was worried about getting ripped off. Maybe Josh saw my post and wanted to help me out. I had been asking him about a MSC AR for like a year and a half. I was hoping to get one at NYCKS but I got there late and they were all sold. I'm not gonna say we're friends or anything but I've met Josh Mick and his wife at shows and they were really cool. I showed Mick and Marissa all my collection pics and they were interested and friendly. Josh is great too, he's helped me out by holding onto knives for me when they come for shows. I really like Mick's customs, productions too, they are my favorite knives. Here's the rest of my collection of AR's and GB's. Oh and the Russian came through in the end. He sent me the knife w/out me making any payment until it got here. I gave him some cash and my MCSOCOM SMF for his old school MSC AR.

Wow! Awesome story!!

That is a beautiful AR and now I know how you got it. And what an amazing collection too. I am blown away.
Your purchase inspired me a bit and I just found an MSC SMF with a Nightmare grind.

I posted it on here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1289600-Let-s-see-your-Striders!!!!!!

I would definitely encourage you to post some of your Strider/MSC pics on there too, as I'd love to see more!

That is an incredible collection of AR's and GB's....all I can say is WOW.

You need to start a thread in the 'Gallery' sub-section of this forum and post some individual pics of each knife (please)

That is some history right there and you gotta let us have a better look at each and everyone of those!

It's a lot of work, but it would be your thread to manage, and you could update it as you get more AR's and GB's.

Here is an example of Dennis' amazing Alan Davis knives thread. That collection deserves this treatment!!

EDIT...you are way ahead of me!!
Can you do a few good pics of each knife separately?
