Some more dyed osage orange, buggy wheel iron, and a nice piece of Bruno 84. This is a blade I forged in April after I did a tanto forging demonstration at the Oregon Show. I tried to add a little tanto flavor to this one. This knife has a 10 1/2" blade, 15 1/2" overall, and it weighs 12oz.

honestly not one of my favorites of your's, it's missing the characteristic "flow" that I love so much about your work.

all that aside, very nice piece regardless

Flow is there. Its just straighter than what your use to. Just trying something a little different. Trying to spice things up for myself.

I definitely see the rifle stock! Nice!

I'd love to carry that with a .45-70 1895 lever action. :D

looks way better without the finial.
I believe that this is a flowsome knife.
Can't wait to see more tantos, Ray! It's a good place for your eye.

P.s. the s guard swap was a great choice and I see it better now than I did before. Smooth move! Speaking of which...?

I see the flow, it's just a departure from your typical, which can be kinda nice.

Is it the blade shape that doesn't work for you? Is it my photography? I've heard my photo's are not the best before. To bad you can't feel through the computer. Once held in the hand its hard to put down....... :D

It's mostly the perception I get that the blade is geometrically very close to a triangle, it seems like the tip should raise just a bit more. I just personally have an aversion to straight lines I spose.

Ray, Great combination of Bowie and Tanto styling. I think this would also look great as a D guard.

I'll second the d guard suggestion:thumbup:
